Company Profile

Middle East Sugar Group encompasses a vertically integrated industrial complex active across the entire sugar beet value chain—from agricultural production to final product distribution. The Group includes Iran’s largest beet sugar factory, with a current nominal processing capacity of 5,000 metric tons of sugar beet per day and an expansion underway to reach 10,000 tons/day. It also comprises the “Middle East Sugar Ethanol Plant (under construction)”, the “Middle East Sugar Agricultural Development Company”, and the “Middle East Sugar Trading & Distribution subsidiary”.

Established over a 124-hectare site strategically located between Shush and Dezful in Khuzestan Province, the sugar plant is recognized as one of the oldest and most capacious facilities in the country. It ranks first nationwide in autumn sugar beet processing and production. The capacity expansion project, which is currently over 70% complete, its capacity will increase to 10,000 tons per day from 2025.

Beyond beet processing, the factory includes a raw sugar refinery with a throughput capacity exceeding more than 1,000 metric tons per day. The plant’s main outputs include white sugar, molasses, and beet pulp, supporting both food-grade and industrial-grade applications.
